Florida’s leading rusher and leading receiver are both leaving early for the NFL.
Tailback Kelvin Taylor and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson have both decided to forego their senior season to enter the draft, UF coach Jim McElwain said Monday.
McElwain also confirmed that junior defensive end Alex McCalister, who has been dismissed from the team, is entering the draft.
Taylor, Robinson and McCalister join cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III as UF’s early departures to the NFL.
Taylor leads the Gators in rushing with 985 yards and 13 touchdowns, while Robinson is UF’s top receiver with 47 catches for 505 yards and two touchdowns.
