The last time Florida had 30 touchdown passes in a season? It was 2008, when Tim Tebow threw 30 and John Brantley three as the Gators won the national title.
The number dropped as low as 11 in 2013. (This season, Florida threw 20, the most since 28 in 2009.) This program was built on the “Fun ‘n’ Gun,” where multiple-TD games were the norm. The quarterback situation clearly has hurt, but make no mistake: Florida needs receivers.
The Gators will return three of their top six receivers in Antonio Callaway, Brandon Powell and tight end DeAndre Goolsby.
