Malik Zaire will become the 12th Florida starting quarterback this decade in a matter of moments, and Florida will be in just as strange a situation with him as it was when, say, Mornhinweg was elevated to starter in November 2013.
Zaire is Florida’s first lefty starter since Tebow — which is neat — and he takes over a 3-4 team that just got pounded to dust by Georgia in a game so dispiritingly one-sided that it hardly even mattered to Jim McElwain’s job status.
