Florida will wear head-to-toe orange - helmets, jerseys, and pants - today at LSU, the program announced through its equipment team’s Twitter account.
The Gators have already sported the all-orange look once this season, in a resounding victory over Kentucky. Florida also wore all-orange under Jim McElwain twice last season, in a big win over Ole Miss and in his second game at the helm of the Gators, a home win over East Carolina.
Florida wore orange uniforms as their primary outfits often in the 1980s, but — despite associations with Emmitt Smith — those uniforms fell out of favor upon Steve Spurrier’s arrival in Gainesville, and were rarely seen again until the 2010s.
