The Florida-Georgia football game is staying right where most agree it belongs — in Jacksonville.
The two schools have reached an agreement with the City of Jacksonville on a five-year extension, through the 2021 game.
UF vs. UGA in Jacksonville is one of college football’s great traditions, dating back to 1933. The only time since then that the game was not played in Jacksonville was in 1994 and 1995, when the game went home-and-home while the stadium in Jacksonville was being rebuilt.
"We are excited to continue the tradition of playing the Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville," UF athletic director Jeremy Foley said.
