No. 17 Florida State will be without RB Dalvin Cook on Saturday against Syracuse, coach Jimbo Fisher told reporters after Thursday's practice.
Cook tweaked his ankle in last week's loss to Georgia Tech. That injury is unrelated to a nagging hamstring issue that sidelined him for three quarters earlier this month against Wake Forest.
Cook, a sophomore from Miami, is already having one of the most productive seasons in school history. His 1,037 yards through seven games are the sixth-highest single-season total by a Seminole.
While Cook's injury might not be much of a factor this week against Syracuse, the Noles face No.
