No. 9 Florida State will go to Atlanta to try to earn its 11 win of the season.
The 10-2 Seminoles will face No. 14 Houston in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 31.
FSU earned an at-large spot to one of the major New Year's Six bowl games. The Cougars earned an invitation to the noon game at the Georgia Dome by racking up a 12-1 record and winning the American Athletic Conference. Houston has a star quarterback, Greg Ward Jr., and averaged almost 41 points per game.
The Noles have played in the bowl game three other times; FSU beat South Carolina in 2010, topped North Carolina in 1983 and lost to LSU in 1968.
