Florida spooks Mizzou on Halloween night in return to the gridiron

Playing football at night on Halloween with about 15% of your roster unavailable against an in-conference foe is frightening.

Despite a slow start and some halftime antics, the Gators managed to brave 60 minutes of football and walk away with a 41-17 win Saturday night in The Swamp.

On a literal blue moon, tensions were high between the Gators, returning to the gridiron for their first game since their COVID-19 outbreak started earlier this month to face the Missouri Tigers. Like a witches cauldron, said tensions boiled over in the form of a halftime scuffle. A late Hail Mary hit on quarterback Kyle Trask led to a brawl between white and blue jerseys that resulted in three ejections and unsportsmanlike penalties for all players on both teams.
