The facility debate at Florida is one that brings many opinions, and plans to make improvements for sports such as softball, baseball and track are important. But it is football that drives the ship, and while I may sound like a pigskin snob, Florida needs a standalone football-only facility.
Before Jim McElwain was hired, I don’t think this idea had much traction. But after one season, it is clear McElwain has influenced Foley and others, and Foley seems to embrace the need for such a facility.
Florida has the most successful overall sports program in the SEC.
