Offensive tackle Stone Forsythe wasted little time in jumping on his scholarship offer from Florida.
The 6-foot-7, 325-pounder of Winter Garden West Orange verbally committed to the Gators on Thursday, announcing his decision on Twitter.
He has visited Gainesville numerous times, most recently for the spring game last month.
UF evaluated Forsythe last week at his high school and offered a scholarship Monday. He also holds offers from seven other schools, most notably Boston College and Kentucky.
Forsythe is the eighth three-star prospect to pledge to Florida, according to Rivals and 247Sports, but those sites rank the Gators 13th and 17th nationally in team rankings, respectively.
