Special report on the Florida Gators women’s tennis team:
ATHENS, Ga. – Top-seeded Florida won the doubles point for the 25th time this season and earned a spot in the NCAA Championships Final Four for the 25th time in program history.
The Gators carried that momentum of winning the initial team point and knocked off ninth-seeded Oklahoma State, 4-1, in the NCAA Quarterfinals played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex Sunday afternoon.
Sunday’s match was the second time this season the two programs squared off, with Florida (27-3) capturing the 4-2 decision in Gainesville back on February 17.
