Florida Gators' Mike White named national coach of the year semifinalist

Florida Gators basketball coach Mike White is one of 10 national semifinalists for the Naismith Coach of the Year award.

A year after finishing 21-15, White's Gators are 24-6 (14-3) in the SEC after Wednesday's 13-point win over Arkansas. White joins Billy Donovan as the only UF coaches with 24 wins in the regular season. The Gators are No. 12 in the polls heading into Saturday's game at Vanderbilt and next week's conference tournament.

The other semifinalists: Chris Collins (Northwestern), Scott Drew (Baylor), Mark Few (Gonzaga), Bob Huggins (West Virginia), Tim Jankovich (SMU), Sean Miller (Arizona), Rick Pitino (Louisville), Bill Self (Kansas) and Jay Wright (Villanova).
