GAINESVILLE - Florida Gators quarterback Luke Del Rio can't seem to catch a break.
The redshirt junior will miss the rest of the season after injuring his collarbone during the first half of Saturday's 38-24 win over Vanderbilt.
"It's hard," coach Jim McElwain said. "It's hard."
It's hard because of what Del Rio went through to get to Saturday.
He began his career at Alabama, then went to Oregon State. A coaching change left him on the outside looking in, so he transferred again, to Florida. He sat out a year and then finally earned the starting job.
