The Florida Gators had a number of players endure the grueling process of being proverbially baptized by fire in 2016. Freshmen and sophomore athletes were thrown into the mix on both ends of the ball and asked to play high snap counts against championship-caliber opponents.
For their efforts, two Florida freshmen were honored for their strong seasons by the SEC.
Florida had six players named to the 2016 All-SEC Teams. Teez Tabor was the lone Gator on the All-SEC First Team, while Caleb Brantley, Jarrad Davis, Martez Ivey, Johnny Townsend, and Quincy Wilson made the All-SEC Second Team.
