The Gators received good news over the weekend.
Florida clinched another GateHouse Media Southeastern Conference All-Sports trophy for the 2015-16 academic year. The Gators won all three divisions — overall, men and women.
It’s the 15th time the Gators have taken each of the three titles. Florida is the only school to win all three titles in a single season.
Although Florida has already clinched the trophy, results won’t be final until after the conclusion of the SEC’s regular-season baseball schedule on Saturday, the final league sport to award a title in 2015-16.
“Throughout this season, Gator teams have competed among the nation’s best, as the Southeastern Conference is such a competitive league across all sports,” Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley said in a statement.
