Florida Gators bring Nick Savage on head strength coach

Dan Mullen will bring Nick Savage to run the Florida Gators football strength and conditioning program.

Savage spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons as the Bulldogs’ assistant strength and conditioning coach before assuming the head role after Rick Court left Mississippi State for Maryland.

Savage, 28, is a native of Youngstown, Ohio and earned his undergraduate degree in exercise science from Youngstown State. He earned a masters in recreation administration from Toledo in 2016. Savage began his career interning at Bowling Green from January 2013- May 2013 and then went to Ohio State from May 2013 to January 14, where he worked with Mickey Marotti, who was the strength and conditioning coach at Florida when Urban Meyer and Dan Mullen coached at UF.
