This past week, the Florida Gators coaching staff convinced defensive end Malcolm Lamar (6-5, 250, Seffner, FL. Armwood) to take an official visit to Gainesville this weekend after an in-home visit.
Lamar hasn’t talked about Florida much recently but this weekend helped the Gators chances as he enjoyed his visit to Gainesville.
“It was great,” Lamar said of the official visit. “Me and the family really enjoyed it.”
Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri has been recruiting Lamar hard since he took the job and he explained why the defensive end is a priority to Florida.
“He said that I can come in and play early,” he said of the message from Sunseri.
