After an excellent close to the first major period of recruiting for the 2018 recruiting cycle, the Florida Gators held just two pledges from unsigned prospects.
Make that one, after Wednesday’s decommitment of South Florida wideout Corey Gammage.
Gammage, a three-star prospect from Delray Beach, is ranked outside of the top 100 prospects in Florida and the top 100 wide receivers in the 2018 class nationally by 247Sports, and was seen as the low man in Florida’s promising wide receiver class even before Jim McElwain’s firing, when Louisiana star JaMarr Chass and Panhandle playmaker Jacob Copeland were Gators commits.
