For the third time in two days, the Florida football team has picked up another verbal commitment.
This time, they actually stole one away.
Four-star linebacker Derek Wingo announced Saturday that he was changed his commitment for 2020 from Penn State to Florida.
The St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) linebacker told 247Sports it was the Gators’ tenacity that made him change his mind. Especially that of linebackers coach Christian Robinson.
He said, in March, the Gators had other things in their column, like fellow Aquinas players Trevon Grimes, Coleman Crozier and Jordan Scarlett.
