Florida Gators commit Feleipe Franks made waves when he took to Twitter to decommit from LSU, and subsequently to commit to the Gators.
But less than 48 hours after Franks committed to Florida, news broke of the Gators hosting fellow top-tier quarterback Jacob Eason — something Franks said was "not good" shortly afterward, fueling rumors that he might reopen his recruitment again, or flip back to LSU.
But Franks walked back those comments over the course of the last week. And on Friday, after a valiant effort for his Wakulla High School War Eagles in a 37-34 loss to Bishop Moore in the FHSAA Class 5A state title game — in which he evaded defenders to make one heck of a play, and missed a 50-yard field goal wide left as time expired — Franks gave about as definitive of a public affirmation that he's a Florida Gator as you could want.
