The former Shawnee Community College player will be eligible to compete in the upcoming 2015-2016 season and has two years of eligibility remaining.
Leon, a 6-foot-8, 200 pound forward, was originally committed to Louisiana Tech, where he was recruited by new UF coach Michael White.
As a freshman at Shawnee, Leon averaged 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting .563 percent from the field. As a junior college All-American last season, Leon increased his totals to 21.5 points and 10 rebounds per game, and shot .504 percent.
The Conway, Arkansas, native will help bolster a Florida frontcourt that already includes 2014 transfers John Egbunu from USF and walk-on Schuyler Rimmer from Stanford.
