On Saturday, the Florida Gators met an oddly familiar foe again and made up for a dispiriting recent loss with a resounding triumph.
Also, they played football.
The Gators of the hardwood followed a Peach Bowl beatdown of Michigan by their gridiron brethren with an even more lopsided rout of Butler later in the afternoon, pounding the Bulldogs by a 77-43 count.
Consider this: Florida led this game 21-0 ... and then won by 34.
That was the residue of a phenomenal start on the defensive end that gradually dissolved into excellence on both ends.
