Ex-Gator J.C. Jackson has formally been charged in connection with an April 18 armed robbery in Gainesville and faces four first-degree felony counts.
The state attorney's office is charging Jackson with three counts of home invasion with a deadly weapon and one county of burglary of an occupied dwelling, deputy chief investigator Darry Lloyd told the Orlando Sentinel Monday.
Each charges carries a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison, Lloyd said.
Lloyd said the state attorney's office has scheduled a trial date for Oct. 11, but he expects it will change as the process, including Jackson's pending arraignment, plays out during the coming weeks and months.
