The Florida Gators picked up another instate commitment on Thursday when a defensive tackle committed to Florida.
Defensive tackle Desmond Watson (6-5, 350, Seffner, FL. Armwood) committed to Florida over Texas A&M on Thursday.
“Committed,” Watson tweeted. “Only up from here.”
Defensive line coach David Turner has explained to Watson how he’s a big need for the Gators and how he can fit into Florida’s defense.
“I’m the bigger inside pressure guy for the defensive line,” Watson said on how Turner sees him fitting into the defense. “They don’t have really any defensive linemen my size and that’s what they need in the SEC.
