Sophomore guard Deaundrae Ballard will transfer from UF, the school announced. He is the third player to leave the Gators’ program in two days.
A four-star prospect from Atlanta, Ballard was considered a key signing in 2017. But Ballard’s questionable shot selection and inconsistent defensive performance relegated him to a backup role.
During 59 games for the Gators, including one start, Ballard averaged 4.1 points and 1.7 rebounds.
Ballard’s decision comes a day after sophomore guard Mike Okauru and redshirt junior forward Keith Stone announced their transfers.
Six scholarship players now remain from a 20-16 squad that lost last Saturday to Michigan during the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
