The Florida Gators picked up a big commitment on Thursday afternoon when an instate prospect committed to the Gators over several other SEC schools.
Safety Dakota Mitchell (6-0, 184, Winter Park, FL. High) committed to the Gators on Thursday just a week after leaving the LSU class.
“I’m staying home, 1000% committed to the Swamp,” Mitchell tweeted. “#GoGators.”
Mitchell committed to LSU earlier this spring but remained in contact with the Gators after calling Florida his dream school.
“I’ve been a Florida fan since I was like four years so that’s been my dream school for the longest,” Mitchell said.
