After falling to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game, the Florida Gators finished the 2015 regular season at No. 19 in the College Football Playoff committee's final rankings. It's a fair drop, and one that mirrors the opinions of the AP and Coaches Polls, as well.
The Alabama loss certainly hurt their standing with the committee, and it also robbed Florida fans and college football fans the chance to see how highly a win over Alabama would have been valued (as well as how far the Tide would have fallen).
