- The date of the Ocala/Marion County Christmas Parade was moved from the first Saturday in December to the second Saturday in December in large part to avoid conflicting with the SEC Championship Game.
But sure enough, ever since the date change went into effect in 2010, the Florida Gators have failed to qualify for the game.
Until now.
Let it be known by all present that on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, the Gators will square off against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Florida is back in the title game for the first time since 2009.
