On Monday, Florida coach Jim McElwain said his star receiver had three days to return to practice before being ruled out for Saturday’s game against North Texas.
But while Antonio Callaway did participate in team drills on Tuesday and Wednesday, McElwain said the sophomore is somewhere between highly questionable and doubtful for Saturday’s game after suffering an injury last week against Kentucky.
“Callaway went bits and pieces,” McElwain said Wednesday. “Don’t think we got a lot out of this afternoon.”
After injuring his quadriceps in Florida’s 45-7 win over Kentucky on Saturday, Callaway had a noticeable limp in his leg during Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s practice.
