The Florida Gators came up short in the SEC Championship game, falling 29-15 to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite coming in second in the SEC the fans, Jim McElwain and the Florida football program have a lot to be proud about.
This was a team who was under .500 in the SEC the last two seasons, was picked to finish fifth in the SEC and a team that was supposed to be rebuilding this season. Rather than rebuild, McElwain showed that Florida may not be as far off from “restoring the order” in the SEC.
