The Florida Gators recruiting efforts have already landed them a quarterback for the 2017 class, but with low numbers at the position, Jim McElwain and Doug Nussmeier are actively searching for another.
2017 Quarterback Z’Khari Blocker (6-1, 185, Pensacola, FL, Catholic) grew up watching the Florida Gators and has arrived in Gainesville for Friday Night Lights with just one thing on his mind.
“To get offered by Florida,” he said of why he made the trip this week. “That’s all.”
Blocker has been in constant contact with the coaching staff, especially Drew Hughes, area recruiter Mike Summers and offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier this spring and summer but still hasn’t received a scholarship offer.
