GAINESVILLE — UF tailback Adarius Lemons is a big play waiting to happen — that much is clear in his limited action.
The inexperienced sophomore also is a mistake waiting to happen — a fact that could keep him on the sideline more than coaches would like during the 2018 season.
UF coach Dan Mullen said Lemons is going to have to learn and embrace the nuances of the running back position to earn snaps.
“He’s an explosive player,” Mullen said. “But guys have got to learn is it’s about every play.”
The 6-foot, 201-pound Lemons ripped off an 89-yard touchdown run during Friday’s scrimmage that showcased an extra gear the rest of the Gators’ crowded backfield lacks.
