The Florida Gators received a commitment from Baylor offensive guard Micah Mazzccua on Tuesday night, beating out Nebraska and Auburn for his services.
The 6-5, 331-pound guard announced his decision on social media.
Originally a member of the 2020 recruiting class, Mazzccua was a three-star prospect out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. He held offers from Temple, Syracuse, Michigan, Maryland, Virgina Tech, UMass and Baylor out of high school.
In 2020, Mazzccua didn’t see the field and redshirted.
During his redshirt freshman season, Mazzccua appeared in 9 games before earning a starting role along the offensive line the following season.
