Former Florida Gators defensive tackle Caleb Brantley will not face charges in conjunction with his alleged assault of a University of Florida student in an April incident at a Gainesville bar, state attorney Bill Cervone announced Wednesday.
Per the Orlando Sentinel, Cervone’s office writes in the release that there was not enough evidence to pursue charges against Brantley, who had been charged with misdemeanor battery days before the 2017 NFL Draft after a sworn complaint was filed with witnesses alleging that he had struck the woman in an altercation.
