Florida senior forward Canyon Barry suffered a sprained ankle in Monday’s practice.
Barry, UF’s second-leading scorer at 12.4 points per game, was placed in a walking boot as a precaution, but reported feeling better after practice. There’s hope that the injury will heal in time for UF’s game Wednesday at LSU.
Barry has provided a spark off the bench for the Gators with his versatile scoring ability. He’s scored 20 or more points three times this season, including a season-high 27 points in UF’s 80-76 overtime win against Georgia on Jan. 14.
The injury was first reported by AM-850’s Jake Winderman.
