GAINESVILLE — Right before she leaves the locker room, UF soccer phenom Savannah Jordan puts on a multi-colored headband and listens to “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys.
It’s a pregame ritual four years in the making.
The headband — intertwined bands of green, yellow and red — has become a game-day staple, like her aggressive attacking play style.
The music — a hit from 2012 — gets Jordan’s pumped up, ready to make the star-studded plays that have become the norm in her early soccer career.
“I try to stay to my routine,” Jordan said.
