In an emotional, inspirational, heartfelt and moving final goodbye video, Abby Wambach asks us to forget her, forget her accomplishments, forget the memories and forget the dedication she showed, because she wants to leave a legacy "where the ball keeps rolling."
The purpose behind her words is a fine one, to be sure. The day that our memories of her and her amazing work on and off the field, will be the day that we are overcome with new memories to take her place. But the thing is, Abby, we don't just forget legends.
