Whoever signs Under Armour All-American linebacker Levi Jones — he is considering Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC — is going to get a player who grew up around football.
Jones is from Austin (Texas) Westlake, and football always has been part of his life. His two older brothers played college football — one set an NCAA career record — and his father, Robert Jones, played 10 years in the NFL. Levi is the first of Jones’ sons to play linebacker, though; the other two, Cayleb and Isaiah, who goes by “Zay,” are wide receivers.
“I got three sons, and I’m finally happy one of them chose to play linebacker; the other two are pretty boys,” Robert Jones jokingly told GN last week, during the run-up to the Under Armour All-America Game.
