Florida Gators cornerback CJ Henderson was touted as a likely early first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft from just about the moment the 2019 NFL Draft ended.
On Thursday night, the NFL’s closest team to Gainesville made sure he lived up to that hype in their assessment, as the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Henderson with the ninth pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Henderson becomes the first Gator drafted by Jacksonville since the Jaguars selected edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. with the third pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
