2 UF football players arrested on felony after BB gun incident

Florida true freshmen wide receivers Rick Wells and Tyrie Cleveland are facing second-degree felony charges after police say they fired a weapon into a residence, along with misdemeanor charges of property damage and criminal mischief.

They were arrested early Monday morning.

According to a University Police Department arrest report, Wells and Cleveland were firing a BB gun at someone in the Keys dorm on campus Friday night and shattered glass on a door and on two panels surrounding the door on the south side of the building.

Damage was estimated in excess of $1,000.

Wells and Cleveland, childhood friends from Jacksonville, were observed and later identified on videotape.
