New Florida Gators head coach Jim McElwain wasted no time in recruiting once he got the job, and all that work paid major dividends on National Signing Day.
The Gators added the top offensive lineman in the country in Martez Ivey and the second-best defensive end in CeCe Jefferson, both of whom are five-star prospects.
Those two were huge signees with Florida only having five four-star recruits, and they'll be relied on to have a major impact for this team right away.
Florida was also hoping to land the top overall prospect in the country in Byron Cowart, but he followed former head coach Will Muschamp to Auburn.
McElwain was playing catch-up in recruiting like any new coach would, but landing two marquee recruits and bringing in a class ranked 21st in the country shows that this program is moving in the right direction.
