The Florida Gators will have a very good chance to curry favor with a coveted four-star in-state wide receiver out of the Class of 2016 this weekend.
Here's 247Sports' Luke Stampini with the report:
Deerfield Beach (Fla.) wide receiver Cavin Ridley is expected to visit Florida this coming weekend with his team, which also includes 2017 Top247 wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Ridley is very high on Florida and sources close to him indicate that if this latest trip to Gainesville goes well, he could decide to give a pledge to the Gators. Whether he pops this weekend or not, it is clear Florida is a serious threat to land the 247Sports Composite four-star prospect.
The biggest threat to steal Ridley away from the Gators is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Cavin's brother, Calvin, enrolled at Alabama this past weekend.
Cavin is currently ranked as the #40 wide receiver in his class by 247Sports.
