FAU women’s basketball (4-13, 0-6 C-USA) lost to the Marshall University Thundering Herd (11-5, 6-1 C-USA) in Huntington, W.Va in a matinee game on Saturday. The Owls struggled offensively the entire game but did enough defensively to send the game into overtime.
The Owls kicked off the game with a 3-0 lead in the first of several lead changes throughout the game. Both teams scored a combined 21 points in the first quarter, FAU closed the quarter with a 12-9 lead following a three-pointer from junior guard Alexa Zaph.
