Women’s basketball: FAU falls to UTEP, will miss conference tournament

The Owls will miss the Conference USA tournament for the first time since joining the conference in 2013.

Florida Atlantic women’s basketball is set to miss the Conference USA tournament after falling to the University of Texas-El Paso 69-59 on Thursday night in El Paso, Texas.

After scoring 22 points in the first quarter and taking an eight point lead into the second, the Owls (4-22, 0-15 Conference USA) were outscored 17-4 in the second period.
