BOCA RATON — There was always going to be an expedited learning curve for Florida Atlantic offense lineman Antonio Riles and Junior Diaz.
Unlike regular transfers, neither lineman truly had time to adjust to a new university, new teammates, and new playbook. As graduate transfers in college football’s version of free agency, the two needed to quickly get acclimated to FAU if they wanted to spend their final year on the field and away from the bench.
“For me and Junior, we came in and we did exactly what we’re supposed to do,” said Riles, who started six games at Florida from 2014-17.
