Another Florida Atlantic freshman has impressed enough during preseason camp to potentially warrant playing time this season. Running back Tyrek Tisdale got some snaps with the first- and second-team offense Tuesday morning, and FAU coach Lane Kiffin said he “would anticipate him playing” in 2017.
Tisdale, listed at 6-foot-2 and 188 pounds, signed with Maryland out of high school in 2016 but did not qualify. Instead, he attended prep school Milford Academy.
Tisdale entered a crowded backfield that already included Devin “Motor” Singletary, Gregory “Buddy” Howell, Jr., Kerrith Whyte Jr.
