Three-way quarterback battle headlines 5 things to watch in FAU’s first fall camp scrimmage

BOCA RATON — Only three weeks before Florida Atlantic starts the most anticipated season in program history, the Owls will have their first opportunity of fall camp to test themselves in a scrimmage.

With seven practices under their belt, the Owls will move to FAU Stadium for an intrasquad game on Saturday afternoon. Quarterbacks Chris Robison and De’Andre Johnson will continue their battle for the starting job, though they’re now joined by former SMU signal-caller Rafe Peavey, who joined the Owls as a graduate transfer this week.

Saturday’s scrimmage, which begins at 2 p.m. but is closed to the public, will be the first test for all three in meaningful action this summer.
