Strong outing from Chris Robison among 5 ways Florida Atlantic can defeat Bethune-Cookman for second straight year

BOCA RATON — A familiar foe stands between Florida Atlantic and a nine-game home winning streak, as the Owls welcome Bethune-Cookman to FAU Stadium on Saturday.

Though FAU (1-1) took down the Wildcats (1-1) 45-0 when the two faced off last September for the first time since 2003, the two programs nonetheless have plenty of history. FAU’s first win as a football program came in a 31-28 road victory over Bethune on Sept. 8, 2001. Bethune won 30-17 at then-Pro Player Stadium the next year before FAU, in the midst of a 10-game winning streak, beat the Wildcats 32-14 in the Division I-AA playoffs.
