A lot went wrong for Florida Atlantic in Saturday night’s loss at Middle Tennessee State.
FAU blew a 21-3 lead to lose, 25-24, in the Owls’ Conference USA opener, and could have been better in all three phases of the game.
Aside from junior running back Devin “Motor” Singletary and his two early touchdowns, the offense was nondescript.
Defensively, the Owls (2-3, 0-1 C-USA) surrendered a late touchdown drive and the ensuing two-point conversion that won it for the Blue Raiders while not getting enough pressure on the quarterback.
