Florida Atlantic has landed another local star, as Deerfield Beach cornerback Marcus Lafrance announced a verbal commitment to the Owls on Saturday afternoon.
Lafrance (6-foot-3, 170 pounds) is listed as a three-star prospect by Rivals and will play his senior season at Deerfield after previously spending time at Boyd Anderson and Blanche Ely.
Lafrance notably held Power 5 offers from Iowa State, Louisville, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Texas. FAU was joined by Conference USA rivals Marshall, UAB, and Western Kentucky as schools which offered Lafrance.
